We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Director, Product Management in the Payments and Cards domain focused on doing whatever it takes to understand the end goal of our clients. They will serve as a liaison between highly motivated, multidisciplinary teams and our clients to build solutions. This individual will have a clear understanding of and experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle including vision and scope definition, creative and user experience design, requirements specification and prioritization, iterative development, manual and automated testing, handoff and delivery.  The best candidate will have a bias for action and bring a positive energy to the team to get stuff done.  

Role and Responsibilities: 
Develop and champion the vision and strategy for our Payments clients, incorporating business goals, customer experience vision and product engineering: Define a clear and compelling vision for the product roadmaps within our banking services, aligned with overall business objectives, regulatory requirements, brand values, and the disruption in the Payments tech space. 

Works with client stakeholders to ensure the realization of business outcomes in working solutions 

Track, organize and document project strategy and requirements gathering sessions, and driving projects forward 

Actively drive the product roadmap and defines project vision for large and complex projects 

Define and communicate interim milestones and project goals 

Ensure all recommended payment solutions and processes comply with relevant industry regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, local payment schemes). 

Advise clients on best practices for fraud detection and prevention, chargeback management, and data security 

Consult clients on the convergence of crypto in the payments space as it relates to banking, issuers, processors/CAAS and other providers in the ecosystem 

Drive execution of Product roadmaps through agile processes working with global client and Bounteous distributed teams 

Work independently demonstrating initiative in finishing their work in a timely and effective manner 

Write user stories and acceptance criteria, organizing team documentation, consolidating data to implement technical aspects of a business solution, and creating user journeys 

Coordinate implementation activities across a broad range of functions and departments 

Understand the concept of iterative delivery and quickly realizing value for clients' users 

Build strong relationships with client and internal team members to deliver success 

Can create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog for complex projects 

Understands and identifies cross-functional dependencies and able to mitigate risks 

Write technical tasks in consultation with Client and Bounteous architects 

Coach and mentors other Product team members as needed, fostering collaborative spirit and team play 

Be resourceful, with the ability to find solutions where they are not obvious 

Develop strategic roadmaps and implementation plans for our Financial Services practice, primarily focused on the Payments tech space, integrating Experience Innovation, Martech, CRM, Data, Cloud and Product Engineering 

Have a visionary approach in the payments space covering retail, B2B, commercial, banking and crypto, including stablecoins 

Build and operate a plan for practice development, and GTM with clear objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and OKRs 

Continue expansion and development of new skills, techniques, and tools for the practice domain and broader business unit 

Collaborate cross-functionally within our organization, advocating for best-in-class AI first solutions  

Partner effectively with teams across Experience Design, Marketing Technology, Platform Engineering, Cloud, Data & AI to ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives, championing the voice of the customer and fostering a culture of innovation and effective platform utilization. 

Drive thought leadership by owning point of views as those relate to Bounteous GTM and target addressable market 

Support Customer Success and Business Development teams on growth pursuits, representing industry and thought leadership 

Mentor, coach and supervise practice resources as the setup grows 

Preferred Qualifications: 
BS/BA in relevant program, or equivalent work experience 

15+ years of experience in payments consulting, payment integrations, credit cards, crypto, across several roles within either or more of consulting, systems integration, financial services or FinTech industry. 

Familiarity with multiple functional suites and software packages for requirements (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.) 

Familiarity with APIs, data integration, and system architecture related to payments and associated functions 

Deep knowledge and experience with multiple SDLCs such as Agile, Scrum and traditional waterfall 

Strong knowledge of the above noted Industry domains 

Strong foundation in core Product Management skill sets 

Worked on multiple teams and projects simultaneously 

Experience working with globally dispersed teams 

Exposure to a wide variety of platforms that include: Adobe, Drupal, Magento, and/or Shopify 

Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are great assets 

Digital agency experience is a plus 

Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time

    • Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
    • Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
    • Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
    • Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
