We are seeking a Platform Developer with a specialization in Braze to join our growing team. The Platform Developer will regularly interface with a large, cross-functional team of developers, solution architects, and digital marketing specialists to help bring digital customer experiences to life. As such, the ideal candidate will be dynamic and flexible, with a strong affinity toward data and process.

This position necessitates knowledge of varying industry trends, marketing automation enablement, campaign best practices, data management best practices, and associated digital marketing technologies, so the ideal candidate should possess a desire to continually learn, grow, and apply subject matter expertise to individual client needs.

Role and Responsibilities

    • Develop deep knowledge of each client's business and available data to ensure campaign solutions meet their marketing objectives
    • Translate business and technical requirements into detailed solutions for cross-channel campaign execution across marketing automation, journey orchestration, CDP, loyalty and offer management platforms
    • Support in-platform development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across channels (email, SMS, push, in-app, etc.)
    • Serve as day-to-day technical platform SME to internal and client teams to support platform troubleshooting, training, and knowledge sharing
    • Support Architects with platform configuration, development, and optimization tasks, as well as enforcing best practices
    • Provide campaign QA, testing, and deployment support to developers, campaign specialists, and QA resources
    • Work closely with project management team to manage workflow and deadlines across multiple, simultaneous, campaign projects and change controls
    • Support senior team members throughout project estimation and platform discovery engagements
    • Support internal execution services team with ongoing campaign platform, workflow, and template optimizations

Preferred Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience as a marketing automation platform developer
    • 2+ years of experience working with Braze
    • Braze certification preferred
    • Experienced in data modeling in relational database systems
    • Experienced writing SQL queries for Select/Insert/Update/Delete, including knowledge of multi-table joins and outer joins
    • Experienced with JavaScript, JSON, and XML
    • Familiarity with HTML, MJML, CSS, and responsive email coding a plus 
    • Experience at a digital-first agency/consultancy in a client-facing role strongly preferred
    • Exposure to and understanding of agency structure and agile project management methodologies 
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Familiarity with multiple industry-leading campaign orchestration platforms a plus (such as Adobe Campaign, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, etc.)
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related business or technology field, or equivalent work experience preferred
$75,000 - $95,000 a year
Individual pay is determined by many factors, including experience, relevant education or training, and organizational needs. The mid-range to maximum of the salary range is generally reserved for individuals who are highly experienced in the role.
