Role and Responsibilities
- This position will be responsible for taking projects through the entire life cycle
- You will tackle problems and resolve complex issues, while working in a distributed environment with a talented team of engineers
- Write well-designed, efficient code that works across devices
- Support continuous improvement by staying up-to-date with the rapidly evolving mobile world
- Develop mission-critical user experiences, Actively participate in client meetings
- Support more junior developers
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience developing mobile applications using React Native.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality React Native applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Strong understanding of React Native architecture, its ecosystem, and core principles.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with ES6/ES7 features.
- Experience with performance optimization techniques for mobile applications, including but not limited to:
- Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in React Native apps.
- Implementing strategies to improve app startup time, responsiveness, and overall smoothness.
- Utilizing tools like React Native Performance, Flipper, or Xcode Instruments for profiling and analyzing app performance.
- Knowledge of mobile-specific best practices and optimizations, including image optimization, network request optimization, and reducing battery consumption.
- Experience integrating third-party libraries and APIs into React Native applications.
- Familiarity with mobile app testing frameworks and methodologies, including unit testing and end-to-end testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.
- Bonus: 1+ years of experience specifically focused on performance optimization for mobile applications, demonstrating a deep understanding of rendering performance, memory management, and other optimization techniques specific to React Native development.
