We are seeking an Account Director with a background in the Financial Services sector to join our growing team. The Account Director is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with our clients, ensuring client satisfaction, expanding accounts and opportunities, and improving client retention.  This role will be focused on driving business growth within the Financial Services, Industrial, Technology (FIT) Business Unit.  The ideal candidate is a strong strategic thinker with deep experience in the United States Financial Services sector (consumer banking, insurance, wealth, and/or payments). 

This high-visibility role will require travel (up to 50%) to meet client stakeholders, build relationships, and expand into other buyers within client organizations.

Role and Responsibilities

    • Protect and grow client accounts; add and/or expand business each quarter
    • Serve as the key liaison between Bounteous and our clients 
    • Develop and manage strategic account management plans that establish relationships enterprise-wide, identify and mitigate threats, uncover opportunities, and raise Bounteous’ strategic role within client organizations
    • Intimately understand the client’s brand and objectives
    • Serve as a client partner and advocate; articulate and hold the full-range of client concerns 
    • Lead new Statement of Work kickoffs and customer on-boarding processes with internal stakeholders and systems
    • Facilitate and execute contracts and agreements
    • Ensure proper collections through close review and reconciliation
    • Develop, coordinate, and implement strategic digital initiatives
    • Benchmark state-of-the-art practices; influence profit and service improvements
    • Direct our clients and internal teams towards the best solutions
    • Understand the scope of programs as defined by the business requirements and budget process
    • Participate in key planning milestones; serve as a guide to the design and development teams from initiation through execution and completion
    • Develop and prepare client scorecards and dashboards to demonstrate high-level results and trends
    • Provide clients with relevant and actionable reporting, analytics, and consultation 
    • Assist in pitch, closing, and negotiating contracts
    • Travel (up to 50%) to meet client stakeholders, build relationships, and expand into other buyers within client organizations

Preferred Qualifications

    • 5+ years of client service, digital marketing, or account management experience
    • 3+ years of experience at a digital-first agency/consultancy required 
    • 3+ years of relevant experience in the United States Financial Services sector (consumer banking, insurance, wealth, and/or payments), either client-side or as a trusted advisor 
    • Experience supporting clients or business leveraging platforms such as Drupal and Adobe a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in an ever-changing environment
    • Outstanding listening and presentation skills
    • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
    • Strong communicator with all levels of leadership, management, and staff to achieve desired outcomes and build strong alliances and relationships 
    • Proven experience delivering client-focused solutions to support their goals
    • BA/BS degree or equivalent consulting agency experience preferred
    • Ability to regularly work on-site with clients and travel up to 50% of the time
$93,000 - $125,000 a year
Individual pay is determined by many factors, including experience, relevant education or training, and organizational needs. The mid-range to maximum of the salary range is generally reserved for individuals who are highly experienced in the role.
