We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant with proven problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to join our growing team. This individual will assist in the monthly close process, prepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and review and explain financial results. This is a newly created role due to expansion and growth!

Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the accounting functions related to assigned P&L
    • Perform month-end close tasks and prepare financial statement analysis
    • Prepare bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Review and analyze general ledger transactions and accounts, using sound judgment to ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded
    • Update accounting processes and procedures while making best use of automation tools
    • Assist external auditors in the timely resolution of audit requests and questions
    • Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
    • Assist Controller with preparation of consolidated monthly financial statement package
    • Perform other related duties or ad hoc projects assigned by Controller

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelors of Science in Accounting or equivalent degree from accredited college or university         
    • 3-5+ years of accounting experience
    • Experience managing others
    • Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP
    • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously 
    • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables
    • Experience with Netsuite / Open Air a plus
