Candidate will be a member of the OpenLight foundry and platform team and responsible for the development and technical management of the heterogenous silicon-IIIV photonic wafer process. Candidate will work closely with external foundry partners to develop process modules, implement associated control plans, and assure the process meets manufacturing standards.

The successful candidate will thrive in a high-pace development environment and enjoy working cross-functionality with external foundry partners, internal device designers, photonic-IC architects, layout engineers and program managers.

Responsibilities
·         Technical ownership of the silicon and IIIV photonic process wafer flow
·         Work with internal photonic device designers and external foundry partners to develop new integration and process capabilities to support future product roadmap
·         Organize, manage, and drive process development projects with foundry partners
·         Implement control plans and process specifications to assure a manufacturable process and meets product requirements
·         Drive process and device failure analysis with support from FA-engineering team
·         Analyze statistical electrical and optical PCM and in-line process metrology data, including correlation and yield analysis
Skills and Preferred Experience:
·         MSc. or Ph. D. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Material Science, Applied Physics or related discipline
·         5+ years of relevant professional experience
·         In-depth understanding and hands-on experience of silicon photonic wafer process development and manufacturing
·         In-depth understanding and hands-on experience of IIIV or heterogenous/hybrid Si-IIIV process development and manufacturing
·         Expertise in IC wafer processing failure analysis techniques
·         Solid understanding of statistical processes and analysis
·         Hands on experience with photonic or electronic PCM or device data analysis including
·         Experience with process-design-kit(PDK) and development is a plus
·         Very strong problem solving, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
$180,000 - $225,000 a year
This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience, location and other factors.
