Role Overview:

The Director of Distressed and Alternative Solutions leads and delivers on client engagements involving challenging in-and-out of court situations.   The Director is responsible for working with Partners and other leaders of the Firm to identify solutions, execute strategy and manage staff in engagements including bankruptcy litigation, dispute resolution, corporate restructuring, and asset liquidation.  This position will report to the Partner in Charge for Business Transformation. The role is charged with marketing, networking, and business development activities including new business pursuits and support for existing clients of the Firm.

Pay Range- $235,000- 275,000

The salary range provided is intended for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area who meet the minimum requirements of the position.  Candidates who do not reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, do not meet the minimum requirements, or exceed the requirements are encouraged to apply and a recruiter will provide you with a range specific to your location and qualifications. For the moment, we are only considering candidates based in California.

You Have:

    • 10+ years of total experience
    • 5+ years of recent or current experience with a restructuring consulting practice
    • An advanced degree (MBA, JD) or a CPA
    • Industry certification required
    • Experience with building, developing, and overseeing integrated 3-statement financial and 13-week cash flow models
    • Polished negotiation skills with complex situations involving senior-level stakeholders
    • Ability to develop compelling recommendations under time constraints and with limited information
    • Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate persuasively with executives and difficult audiences; including ability to adapt style to audience
    • Willingness and ability to work long hours when needed due to client demands.
    • Leveraging Extensive professional network in Bay area or Los Angeles metropolitan area

You Will:

    • Work directly with clients to obtain relevant data
    • Review and provide guidance on complex analyses
    • Determine an effective engagement approach
    • Disaggregate complex problems and synthesize into simpler elements
    • Analyze risk of existing and proposed alternatives
    • Articulate restructuring concepts to both clients and staff
    • Build and approve complex financial and transaction models
    • Lead key elements of bankruptcy case management
    • Plan and deliver engagement work streams
    • Prepare deliverables including editing and proofing for review by senior professional
    • Determine effective engagement approaches based on the needs of our clients

    • We are only considering candidates in California at the moment.
    • Los Angeles and Bay Area are ideal
$235,000 - $275,000 a year
