Project Coordinator Overview
Under the supervision of the Program Manager or Project Manager, the Project Coordinator follows a high-level project plan, to independently monitor workflows, coordinate deliverables and identify any concerns with work timing, scope or budget.  The Project Coordinator assists with communications by updating project management systems, drafting project updates and building basic reports.  The Project Coordinator assists project managers with large, client facing, projects and may be entrusted to manage small, inward facing, projects under limited supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Works with resource managers for assignment of engineers by skillset to projects; works directly with technical resources on coordination, scheduling, ownership and delivery of assigned tasks. 
    • Manages all aspects and components of low rigor projects as defined by PMO standards, including engagement, delivery, documentation and closeout. 
    • Provides quality delivery and completion of projects per defined PMO and organizational standards and best practice, including:
    • Performs ongoing updates and completion to project specific documents per PMO defined standards, such as meeting minutes/status reports, schedules, project workbooks, Project Change Requests and Project Closure and Acceptance Documents.
    • Maintains individual project collaboration workspaces and archives for active and completed projects.
    • Ensures scope of work defined within Statement of Work (SOW) is adhered to and delivered. 
    • Manages the financial success of project by ensuring project budget compliance.   
    • Assists in driving ongoing improvements in project delivery through the following:
    • Participates in the delivery, creation and maintenance of project templates.
    • Fosters open, collaborative and respectful environment for all engaged resources.
    • Communicates with all project stakeholders consistently and clearly. 
    • Escalates issues for resolution as warranted. 
    • Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of BPM through performing behaviors consistent with the organization's values.
    • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of BPM in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors.
    • Supports and conducts self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.

Experience/ Technical Requirements

    • 2 years’ professional or business experience with knowledge of project management practices.
    • 2 years’ experience in technology professional services delivery or consulting role.   
    • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications.
    • Must possess ability to deliver concise, polished, professional and accurate formal documentation and communications (i.e. meeting outcomes and project status, escalations) to PMO standards. 
    • Ability to recognize project improvement areas and makes recommendations for improvement.
    • Interacts professionally and effectively across technical and business organizations and drive resolution to problems.   
    • Excellent time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks to defined deadline within constrained timeline.
    • Superior planning and organization skills; detail oriented with attention to accuracy.
    • Flexibility and willingness to embrace change in a high volume, fast paced environment.
    • Ability to make reasonable decisions in a flexible work environment and/or escalate as needed.
    • Willingness and ability to work collaboratively across functional groups with all team members of the Solutions organization and take ownership and responsibility for their work.  
    • Maintains high integrity with strong ethics and business values.
$60,000 - $75,000 a year
The salary range provided is intended for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area who meet the minimum requirements of the position.  Candidates who do not reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, do not meet the minimum requirements, or exceed the requirements are encouraged to apply and a recruiter will provide you with a range specific to your location and qualifications.
