Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Director of Collections & Payments to lead Braviant’s
collections and payments functions in a fast-paced Fintech environment. The Director will be
responsible for developing and implementing innovative multi-channel strategies to maximize
recovery, enhance the customer experience, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role will oversee
the end-to-end collections lifecycle—from early delinquency through charge-off and recovery—while
leveraging technology, the collection contact center, external partner capabilities/tool-sets, and
analytics to optimize performance. This role will also strategize and oversee the Company’s payments
operations including transaction processing and partner relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement scalable, tech-driven collections strategies across early, mid, and late-
    • stage delinquency
    • Oversee and refine all collections processes including payment reminders, delinquency
    • management, hardship programs, recovery, and debt sale
    • Collaborate with Product Management, Technology, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Marketing
    • and Customer Service teams to design solutions that will continuously improve collections and
    • payments-related processes, procedures and results
    • Drive continuous process improvements through automation, workflow redesign, and A/B
    • testing
    • Ensure compliance with Fintech-relevant regulations such as e.g., CFPB, FDCPA, FCRA, UDAAP,
    • TCPA and state-specific digital lending laws
    • Manage relationships with external collection agencies, legal recovery partners, third-party
    • vendors, payment processors; evaluate and optimize their performance
    • Manage and coach collections agents by leveraging performance analytics, behavioral insights,
    • and real-time dashboards to drive accountability, improve recovery rates, and enhance customer experience
    • Develop metrics/KPI’s, monitoring tools and reporting dashboards to track performance, enhance visibility, identify trends, and inform executive decisions
    • Stay up to date on Fintech industry trends and emerging technologies that can improve collections efficiency and payments cost effectiveness
    • Exercise sound judgment and decision-making in escalated issue handling/resolution, policy
    • and/or contract interpretation; ability to assess risk and develop mitigation plans
    • Own operational readiness in a fast-paced environment—multi-tasking effectively and staying
    • highly organized

Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree a
    • plus)
    • 5-7 years of experience in collections or credit risk management, with 3+ years in a leadership
    • role—preferably within a Fintech, digital lender, or neobank
    • Experience working with digital collections platforms, loan management and CRM systems
    • Proven ability to lead both strategy and execution in a high-growth, tech-driven environment
    • Deep understanding of consumer credit products (e.g., installment loans, BNPL, credit cards),
    • familiarity with the end-to-end borrower lifecycle and Fintech regulatory landscape
    • Deep understanding of emerging payment industry technologies and trends
    • Hands-on experience managing dialer systems (e.g., Five9) and Right Party Contact (RPC)
    • campaigns to improve contact and conversion rates; ability to set-up campaigns to support /
      enable collections strategies
    • Experience working with modern data tools (e.g., SQL, Looker). Proficiency in excel
    • Strong interpersonal, excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills across
    • internal teams and with external stakeholders; reputation for collaboration
