The Inventory Manager will monitor and report on the Pride Farms’ inventory. This job is important since the efficient handling of the Pride Farms’ products and supplies is critical for the attainment of business goals. The Inventory Manager will oversee the inventory levels of Pride Farms, receive and record new stock as it’s delivered or shipped, daily recording of what comes in and out of the stock.

Reports to: Accounting and Admin Lead
Supervises: N/A (But works closely with the production team)
Works with-Internal: Production, Processing, Sales and Accounting TEAMS
Relates with-External: Suppliers, Customers

Key Job Tasks & Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that all farm inputs and Seeds used are recorded and stored in the appropriate databases across the farms (i.e our own farms and out-growers)
    • Ensure that the harvest from our own farms and out-growers on the harvest days are well received and recorded
    • Maintain and keep track of farm inventory and fixed assets register of the company
    • Keep track of all farm inputs, materials and mechanization equipment and stock management of farm inputs
    • Prepare regular daily, weekly and monthly stock/inventory reports of farm inputs and equipment
    • Manage farm supplies stock and place orders for new materials and inputs needed
    • Organize a filing system for important company documents at the farm
    • Answer queries by employees and clients regarding the warehouse
    • Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations
    • Implement operational policies and procedures at the warehouse
    • Implement and oversee security operations of the warehouse
    • Ensure effective and safe use of the warehouse and its equipment
    • Develop warehouse protocols and ensure the safety of staff in the warehouse and around according to the processes and protocols,
    • Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of warehouse activities
    • Escalate issues as timely as possible to your supervisor
    • All other tasks assigned

Skills/Requirements:

    • Proven experience as inventory manager or similar position
    • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
    • Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. Tally, Zoho)
    • Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
    • Excellent organizational and planning skills
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Bachelor degree in business administration, logistics or relevant field
