Our mission is to make consumer energy resources (CER) affordable and accessible for everyone.
Brighte is building the platform to enable and accelerate the energy transition by making it affordable, easy and less risky to buy and sell energy equipment.
Our founder and CEO, Katherine McConnell, has been awarded Telstra Businesswoman of the year in 2020 as well as winning the Sustainability Crusader award at B&T's 2023 Women Leading Tech Awards. She is a passionate and humble leader who has a human first approach to business.
As a business in 2025, we have been named a AFR Sustainability Leader within the Banking and Finance category and won the inaugural Sustainability Award at the Affies in 2024!
About the Role
As a Product Designer at Brighte, you’ll bring ideas to life through thoughtful, user-centric design. Sitting in our Product & Design team, you’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to design experiences that are both elegant and impactful. Reporting to the Director of Creative Design, you’ll contribute to Brighte’s design system, help refine the craft of design across the team, and ensure our products delight customers while supporting Brighte’s strategic goals.
What You'll Do
- Design impactful experiences across Brighte’s platform, from research and concepts through to polished, production-ready UI.
- Champion our users by translating customer insights and data into intuitive, accessible design solutions.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights on user needs, pain points, and behaviors; synethesise findings into action plans.
- Shape Brighte’s design system by contributing patterns, components, and guidelines that scale across products.
- Prototype and test concepts to validate ideas and guide decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams to define problems, explore solutions, and deliver value quickly.
- Advocate for design craft and raising the bar for visual quality, interaction and usability.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience designing digital products (ideally in B2B, SaaS, fintech, or marketplace environments).
- A portfolio showcasing strong visual design, interaction design, and user experience skills.
- Ability to run design processes end-to-end: discovery, ideation, prototyping, testing, and delivery.
- Familiarity with modern design tools (Figma, FigJam, prototyping tools).
- Comfort working in agile, cross-functional teams.
- A balance of system thinking and craft detail and the ability to design for scale while sweating the small stuff.
- Curiosity, collaboration, and a genuine interest in accelerating Australia’s clean energy transition.
What's in it for you?
