We are seeking a Hands-On Principal Data Architect to join our data-driven organization. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing and optimizing our platform for peak performance, ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You will measure, monitor, and improve system capacity, throughput, and efficiencies. With your passion for continuous improvement, you will consistently redesign architectures and driving innovation
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and drive the cloud data strategy, utilizing cutting-edge public technologies.
- Oversee the performance and integrity of our large-scale databases and datalakes to ensure seamless data retrieval and storage.
- Generate insightful reports on system performance, highlighting key findings and proposing improvement strategies.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, solution architects, and software engineers to implement performance optimizations based on the insights gained.
- Optimize for cost, operations, performance, reliability, and security in your designs.
- Utilize your deep experience with Python-based frameworks on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP to architect infrastructure.
Qualifications
- A four-year degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: development, architecture, data quality, data migration, scalability, application security, integration, event-driven, data-driven.
- 3+ years of experience with MySQL or similar database systems.
- 2+ years of experience in designing and building scalable, mission-critical distributed software systems.
- 1+ year of experience in big data platforms.
- Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting in database systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement. - Proficiency in data monitoring tools and methodologies to assess system performance
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with DevOps practices such as continuous integration and delivery.
- Understanding of SEO or experience in the digital marketing industry
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and articulate the impact of technology on business objectives.
- A passion for developing and growing team members, fostering a positive team culture.
- Keen interest in staying updated with changing and cutting-edge technologies.
