ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, results-driven FP&A lead to join our team in our San Francisco office. In this role you lead our global FP&A activities, managing monthly and quarterly reporting for both OPEX and headcount, working with business leaders, and supporting decision making related to all financial aspects of our business.
Working in a small team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, the FP&A Lead will have constant interaction with the senior members of our organization.
You will be responsible to identify and implement opportunities to resolve finance issues, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across teams and organizations

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Manage monthly and quarterly reporting for both OPEX and headcount.
    • Identify and implement opportunities to resolve finance issues, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across teams and organizations
    • Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build and maintain financial models and analyses with little guidance and draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and may have global impact
    • Manage annual budget inputs and drivers, consolidate, and analyze data, ensure deadlines are met and assist with board, investor and management presentation and reporting.
    • Ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with internal and external policies (e.g., financial, and tax-related regulations), including monitor forecast accuracy, understand drivers of variances, and provide insightful commentary & analysis for both current period and future period.
    • Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders to manage, costs, cash burn and headcount.
    • Perform ad-hoc business analyses, and financial modelling. Present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions, and planned future initiatives
    • Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls

WHAT WE WANT TO SEE

    • Finance Degree or related field with 6 or more years of experience
    • Strong communication and exceptional business writing with proven experience managing executive level communications
    • Superior financial analysis and financial modelling skills
    • Detail-oriented, well-organized
    • Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with business partners
    • Fluency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to work independently, readily adapt to and lead through changing environment
    • Proven expertise managing, evaluating, analyzing data quickly and creating meaningful business reporting
    • Tech startup or manufacturing industry experience 
    • Experience using Netsuite ERP or other similar systems
    • Proven ability to develop new ideas, process improvement and creative solutions
    • Advanced problem solving and root cause analysis combined with proven ability to communicate those analysis
    • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work in cross-functional teams; strong customer focus - both Internal / External
$150,000 - $200,000 a year
