As an HR Lead, Asia you will play a key role on the Asia HR team providing HR expertise, counsel, and project management with particular focus on driving awareness, understanding, and adoption of key HR practices and people strategies in Brooks Asia. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing operations, general office administration, people program execution and development for our Asia offices (Vietnam, China, Taiwan, and Indonesia). The HR Lead, Asia engages with the HQ HR team, Asia leaders while partnering with Asia HR team members to ensure compliance with all organization-wide policies and procedures. You will mentor, coach and manage the HR Administration Coordinator, supporting their successful execution of responsibilities and prioritization of work.

Your Responsibilities:
 
·       Oversee and provide counsel to HR operations in partnership with local operations services providers to ensure compliance, accurate payment to our employees and commitment upon agreed timelines for each location.
Responsible for approving all employee compensations, monthly payrolls, tax reports to our outsourced providers for Asia region.
·       Confirm all employee changes (new hires, job changes, terminations) have been entered and approved in the HR system.
·       Review and confirm all employee documentation: offer letters, employment contracts, decisions of merit/ promotions or any other letters/agreements with employees and ensure the contracts are renewed timely upon their expiry.
·       Lead HR administration in Asia for daily general office management, team events and activities (company off-site trip, year-end dinner, team buildings, etc.) to develop the team engagement and company culture.
·       Lead HR immigration and relocation ensuring proper work permits and resident visas are attained/ renewed for our global assignment employees or non-local hires. Provide support during the relocation of expatriate assignees to host country.
·       Lead, mentor and coach the HR Administration Coordinator; support career development to ensure job satisfaction.
·       Support Senior Manager, HR Asia Region in designing and implementing new initiatives or policies / handbooks for the assigned regions, regularly review and update as needed. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and ensure regulatory compliance with legal requirements in all countries represented pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees. Proactively maintain an open line of communication with managers and employees on HR service-related matters.
·       Contribute to the design of learning and development strategies for the organization to facilitate global growth with a focus in Asia.
·       Partner with Asia leaders and key internal stakeholders for facilitating and delivering HR programs (Looop, Pacesetter, Sprint, etc.) in a way that represents the Brooks culture.
·       Support Senior Manager, HR Asia Region in taking a lead role in delivering our Cultural Strengths Survey to the Asia Region. Ensure conversations and planning are happening at the sub functional level and that each functional leader is accountable for driving progress.
·       Partner with Brooks’ corporate compensation team to collect market data, provide insights to regional competitiveness and market trend, and manage compensation decisions.
·       Oversee the administration and ongoing evolution of pay equity analysis processes for Asia.
·       Partner with HQ Workday team to design, set-up and implement automation of manual HR processes in Workday.
·       Work across Asia HR to propose and maintain department’s regional budget efficiently, ensuring cost-effective operations.
·       Manage and/or participate in miscellaneous HR projects (Annual Vendors Evaluation, Regional Commercial Insurance, etc.).
·       Other responsibilities as required.
 
Qualifications:
 
Bachelors’ degree in HR or related field.
3+ years progressive work experience in human resources in a multinational working environment.
Knowledge of current trends and practices relating to HR concepts.
Good interpersonal and influence skills with experience establishing credibility and working relationships at all levels with diverse nationalities in a multi-cultural working environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
Passionate participation in sports activities, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community.
Highly learning agile:  capable of adapting quickly to change and applying new information and skills to work duties.
Fluent English communication skills.
Proficient in MS Offices; experience in Workday and applicant tracking systems.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
