The Senior Manager, Digital Content is a critical role for Brooks Running on our journey to become the number 1 brand for all who run. This role will be responsible for driving the transformation of from a product experience site, to a brand experience destination. The primary responsibility for this role will be defining a compelling runner experience on and leading the development of engaging content to deliver this experience. Success in this role will require you to drive collaborative and constructive working relationships with other key stakeholders – primarily the eComm team, the digital products team and the broader marketing team. Along with owning the runner experience on, you will also lead the development of the overall marketing content calendar and ensure that all digital communications are aligned - such as social media, email and other digital marketing channels. As a senior member of the global marketing team, you will play a central role in driving a ‘digital first’ mentality across the marketing team and the broader business by bringing a strong digital background and sharing the latest in digital thinking and innovation.  


    • Lead the development the annual global marketing communications content calendar, in partnership with the marketing and eComm teams
    • Develop a broad view of Brooks’ overall digital content and ensure alignment across all digital touch-points
    • Define the runner journey on, seamlessly integrating brand and product content in partnership with the eComm and digital products teams
    • Develop and curate content related to the runner journey on, in partnership with marketing, eComm and digital products teams
    • Partner with eComm and Digital Products to develop an SEO strategy, plan and execution
    • Partner with eComm team to define success metrics on the website, and provide timely reporting to key stakeholders
    • Continually refine and optimize content and runner journey based on results.  Prepare briefs for internal and external creative teams to guide content creation. Represent marketing stakeholders at the weekly content alignment meeting with marketing, eComm and digital products teams
    • Partner with all content creators to ensure a ‘digital/mobile first’ approach to content creation
    • Partner with the Integrated Marketing Team to ensure content is aligned with the overall marketing communications calendar and integrated with the broader marketing plan
    • Partner with Digital Marketing Manager to ensure runners visiting land on relevant content
    • Partner with the Digital Products team and eComm team to drive new levels of functional innovation on
    • Work with cross functional teams to drive strategy and global alignment for digital content,
    • Partner with our Global Creative to ensure brand guidelines, tone and voice are consistent in creative and messaging
    • Act as a leader across the business and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, the eComm and digital products teams
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest digital trends and continually innovate our digital journey
    • Lead a small team; inspire and coach high performance; act as the gatekeeper and advocate for the team 


    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Communications
    • 10+ years working as a digital content specialist – developing content strategies and user journeys for consumer brands
    • 5+ years proven success leading a team of individuals in a fast-paced, demanding environment
    • A proven storyteller, with a track record of developing engaging content - including brief writing and providing feedback on creative concepts
    • Deep knowledge of user-flow website design principles
    • Deep knowledge of enabling technologies, such as content management systems, HTML and other related technologies
    • Strong analytics background, with the ability to analyze data to make content decisions that resonate more deeply with runners
    • Experience working on or closely partnering with a digital e-commerce team
    • Proven experience defining success metrics and building strategies and content that deliver on them
    • Experience working with external and internal agencies
    • Experience successfully leading cross-functional teams
    • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
