Your Job:
You will contribute to Brooks growing European business by effectively integrating the core ERP system (Infor M3) with complementary and often cloud-based solutions to provide seamless, innovative and feature-rich technology supporting our eCommerce and wholesale businesses. Of utmost importance is maintaining the enterprise integration middleware (Infor ION) with best practices, processes, standards, and tools. Your role requires you to collaborate with technical and business teams, and external partners.
You will be an extended member of the Enterprise Applications team to ensure processes and priorities are consistent globally. Part of responsibility is ensuring that customer facing transactions are processed efficiently, accurately, and effectively.
Your Responsibilities:
- Advance your learning of Infor OS middleware technology and integration architecture patterns at Brooks.
- Work with guidance from the Enterprise Application team including architects and developers to apply the integration architecture patterns in place at Brooks to create new
- or enhanced connections between enterprise solutions including ERP, eCommerce, order management, product information management, warehouse management, customer service and other systems.
- You will be responsible for supporting all phases of SDLC, actively working on technical specifications, integration development and all phases of testing.
- Play a key role in initiatives moving Brooks away from legacy/customized point-to-point integrations to align with the Enterprise Architecture standards at Brooks.
- Support initiatives in Europe to improve system interoperability and participate on enterprise projects as part of the global team ensuring worldwide alignment of processes and priorities.
- Collaborate with architects, internal and external development partners, eCommerce, Finance, Logistics and Customer Service teams at Brooks to ensure consistent availability of business functionality and effective communications between applications.
- Develop and maintain documentation including business process flows, system context diagrams, technical specifications, and integration mappings.
- Ensure technical delivery is accomplished per the standard global model.
- Serve as global first-line support for integration middleware and expedite resolution of issues.
- Monitor and satisfactorily resolve support tickets, working with internal teams and vendors as necessary.
- Perform root-cause-analysis on production application and integration failures and drive necessary remediation of defects.
- Partner with the ERP vendor and other IT teams to promote further automation and process streamlining.
- Support system upgrades, fixes and enhancements and ensure that ITIL-based change control processes are followed for approvals, planning, testing, documentation, and implementation.
- Participate in development of disaster recovery plans and annual testing for each assigned application based on business criticality. Provide input to ensure disaster recovery documentation is current and complete with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant major or equivalent experience.
- years of overall IT experience.
- 3+ year of Java programming experience, with exposure to integration technologies and development concepts such as –EDI, JSON, XML, Queues, Web Services, APIs, Middleware, Service Bus, SFTP, etc.
- 3+ years of experience as an engineer working with integrations using industry standard middleware platforms preferably Infor technologies.
- 2+ years of experience with Infor ION and M3 E-Collaborator (MEC) integration design, development and deployment is required.
- Experience with Infor M3 Grid and LifeCycle Manager is highly desired.
- Experience with Opentext Streamserve (M3 Output Management) is highly desired.
- Experience in the retail/fashion industry a plus.
- Expert in using SQL to query databases to help with research and troubleshooting efforts.
- Highly developed troubleshooting skills; tenacity and hunger for finding the root cause of a problem.
- Business requirements elicitation skills and experience.
- Keen attention to detail in planning, organizing, and executing tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences is essential.
- Knowledge of ITIL service management framework and best practices for systems administration.
- Dependable and reliable; available to provide after-hours support as needed.
- Go getter, eagerness to learn and explore new technologies, can do attitude, business relationships, team player.
