Your Position
 
The Transportation Network Operations Manager, Asia manages the day-to-day operational execution at all sourcing origins.  The Transportation Network Operations Manager, Asia will lead the talent development and performance of the Transportation NetOps Analyst, Asia and support the growth of the origin transportation team as required. Leveraging Brook’s transportation network routing options, the NetOps Manager ensures that purchase orders are delivered from the factories within the parameters established by Supply Planning and Customer Service.  The Transportation Network Operations Manager, Asia manages the day-to-day operational execution of transportation providers for the origin transportation segment as well as the origin distribution hub operations responsible for fulfilling customer orders to Brooks’ global distributors.  This role is responsible to monitor the health of the origin transportation network and ensure the optimal transfer from Brooks’ factories to the origin transportation providers.  The role supports the Transportation strategies that establish new consolidation, origin distribution and ocean transportation strategies. The Transportation Network Operations Manager, Asia will act as a liaison between Brooks’ factories and Transportation to increase visibility and opportunities for supply chain optimization.  The Transportation Network Operations Manager, Asia partners with Trade Compliance to ensure all regulations are being followed and met.  As the Asia Region continues to grow, this role must identify processes to ensure goods are transported through the supply chain seamlessly to our global customers.  

Your Responsibilities:

    • Develop strategic operational relationships with Transportation Providers’ origin operations leadership team.  You will represent Brooks Transportation with origin and regional transportation providers.
    • Establish standard processes, metrics and tracking tools to ensure the efficient flow of orders from Brooks’ factories to its origin transportation providers and global regional customers 
    • Manage special programs for footwear and apparel including US and international footwear origin consolidation programs, factory direct-to-customer shipping, VAS: value added service and sample program.
    • Works closely with Brooks’ Carrier Managers, origin-based Production Teams and Factories to introduce new strategic transportation routing options - collaborating on new requirements gathering and development of new processes
    • Analyze transportation data and provide recommendations to the Transportation Senior Manager on opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies
    • Manage, lead and train Transportation Analysts to ensure execution of job responsibilities efficiently and at a high level of quality and productivity
    • Oversee the integrity of intransit inventory ensuring safeguards are in place to meet C-TPAT requirements and tracking the physical custody of purchase orders in transit
    • Works closely with the Transportation Carrier Managers, Supply Planning and Customer Service team to improve service to Brooks’ customers and identify transportation lead time and cost savings opportunities
    • Manage transportation operations by achieving or exceeding KPI’s to meet delivery requirements, customer demand and business needs: US and international, footwear, apparel
    • Keep current in transportation and supply chain related fields and apply best practices in all areas of responsibilities

Qualifications:

    • Education and Training
    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Transportation or Logistics or equivalent experience

    • Experience
    • 8+ years work experience in International Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, and Customs Operations
    • 3+ years leading, coaching, and mentoring a transportation, logistics, or supply chain team

    • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to work independently and make effective decisions
    • Proven success in reviewing data to measure and to achieve a goal which results in cost reduction and ultimately improves customer service
    • Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau and SnowFlake
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
    • Understanding and experience operating as a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), a plus
    • A leadership style that is conducive to building teams and driving issues to resolution
    • Proven team builder with excellent communication and motivational skills
    • Ability to effectively function in a team environment and make positive contributions
    • A proven change agent with strong conceptual thinking skills
    • Comfort with IT and management information systems
    • Strong interpersonal skills at all levels
