Your Job:

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) you will lead on identifying and documenting the requirements and system capabilities that specify how Runner-facing systems and business systems support moving Runners along their path and enable work activities in the Brooks business process. You will keep the Runner and the Brooks end-user personas at the center of how you approach your work to ensure that we capture requirements that enable the creation and enhancement of digital products and experiences that meet the goals of the business and the end-user roles performing the work activities in a business process or in a decision making role. You will engage deeply with stakeholders and business partners by establishing and fostering relationships.
 
You will also leverage your mastery of business processes to work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SME) for detailed understanding of business problems and requirements that you will distill into documentation used by the teams that deliver the end product.  

Responsibilities:

    • Lead stakeholder identification, technical resources and level-of-effort estimations in support of the Project and Product Manager roles
    • Lead effective communication across cross-functional development, delivery teams and stakeholder and business groups
    • Lead and participate in identifying and documenting to contribute to stakeholder and business partner targeted business goals and subsequent business outcomes
    • Identify, create, and facilitate project and organizational change objectives
    • Identify and document as-is and to-be business processes
    • Identify gaps and areas of Improvement
    • Identify and elicit a desired future state that addresses a business problem
    • Create and manage requirements to the smallest set that will provide the biggest impact in advancing the business objectives and are testable
    • Consult on business case creation with the Product Management role with the ability to measure and communicate proposed project benefits
    • Identify and or elicit the metrics by which business value will be determined once enhancement is complete Ability  to build the business value realization into the requirements
    • Lead assessment of solution limitations- determine factors internal to the solution that restrict the full realization of value through facilitation
    • Contribute to the documentation and facilitation of user acceptance testing along with the Technical Project Manager role and take ownership for the thoroughness of test cases to cover the requirements
    • Create well defined technical and functional requirements that can be translated into acceptance criteria in user stories that will be transferred to the DP development workstream
    • Collaborate with the Enterprise, Domain, and Solution Architects to understand system integrations; their capabilities and limitations in order to refine the technical requirements and acceptance criteria
    • Learn and keep current on the SaaS platforms and applications and best practices used by the development team

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Business, or equivalent experience
    • 5 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst role or the equivalent
    • Ability to apply critical, analytical, and creative thinking to problem solving and communicate solutions through visual, verbal, and written communication
    • Ability to drive effective decision making using Brooks established leader-lead and group-lead decision making methods
    • Exceptional active and critical listening skills
    • Ability to apply your strong business, industry, technical, and systems acumen to solve complex business problems
    • Working knowledge and experience in agile and waterfall methodologies with Kanban experience being paramount
    • Ability to deliver well defined technical requirements and acceptance criteria in user stories
    • Understanding of product architecture and design best practices
    • Demonstrated experience working with requirements management, modeling/diagraming, wireframing, and collaboration/communication tools
    • Skilled in meeting and workshop facilitation with the ability to influence outcomes, resolve conflicts, and fill audience knowledge gaps for less technical colleagues
    • Conversant knowledge using web development technologies in an eCommerce environment with Salesforce Commerce Cloud knowledge being a big plus
    • Conversant knowledge of distributed, component-based architectures
    • Conversant knowledge of web accessibility principles (W3C)
    • Demonstrated ability to identify and balance priorities, to work both independently and as part of the team, and to manage time
    • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company
    • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another
    • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes
Compensation:
The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $102,173 - $153,260 per year. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
