The Los Angeles Brotherhood Crusade is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1968 to enrich the lives of youth, seniors, homeless populations, economically disadvantaged families, and under-served individuals in South Los Angeles by providing and facilitating a variety of essential educational services, social services, cultural activities, vocational opportunities and economic empowerment opportunities.
Brotherhood Crusade envisions a South Los Angeles devoid of health disparities, disenfranchisement, and poverty- associated adverse public health conditions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
•Motivate and inspire the team, providing a clear vision for the center's mission
•Oversee YouthSource Center staff and volunteers, ensuring effective management
•Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve grant and Brotherhood Crusade outcomes
•Establish benchmarks for tracking milestones and progress indicators throughout the program
•Cultivate collaboration opportunities with community partners to enhance program effectiveness
•Identify and create high-quality programs that meet the community's needs
•Address daily challenges and troubleshoot issues as they arise
•Provide regular outcome and evaluation reports as requested, including reports for the City of Los Angeles and Brotherhood Crusade senior management
•Build effective relationships with private, non-profit, and community partners
•Develop programs and activities to encourage participant involvement and retention
•Monitor the YouthSource Center budget and track expenditures
•Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles
•Oversee various youth workforce projects, including tutoring, recreational programs, and college and career services
•Ensure that youth are referred to critical services like medical and dental care, mental health counseling, and emergency assistance
•Establish linkages between the YouthSource Center and other Brotherhood Crusade and community programs to support families across various services
•Ensure that job training programs provide essential employment resources, including work experience, job search support, and soft skills training
•Provide overall management and support for the YouthSource Center's operations
•Guarantee the safety and well-being of all participants, staff, and guests at the YouthSource Center
•Promote and maintain a culture of trauma-informed youth development among the staff
•Fulfill any other duties as requested or required by the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
•Master’s degree or demonstrated equivalent required or equivalent level of education
•Must have 6 or more years of management-level experience with at least 2 years in youth workforce development and 2 years’ experience in delivering youth services in a non-profit or private sector
•2 years’ experience operating 1 or more programs in a non-profit environment
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in delivering trauma-informed youth development services
•Must have 3-5 years’ expertise in managing budgets effectively
•Extensive experience supervising full-time staff level positions Related Experience:
•3 – 5 years’ experience of management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination of people

SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary will be based on experience. We offer excellent medical, dental, life and vision benefits.
$90,000 - $100,000 a year

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
Due to our in-person and in office work with LAUSD, City of LA, County of LA and other work partners that require our team to be vaccinated we require that all potential candidates must be COVID-19 vaccinated with either, Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson.
WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND EQUIPMENT USED
The successful candidate will be required to report to and work from the office complex at least five days a week. Offices are traditionally equipped with computers, telephones, desks, chairs, and office machines. Additionally, each office offers an instructional classroom from which orientations and trainings are conducted.
SALARY RANGE:
Benefits and salary will be negotiated based on experience, education, and the needs of the program.
