The Reception/Program Support Staff facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.
Welcomes and directs visitors and clients.
Maintains filing systems as assigned.
Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.
Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.
Coordinates and schedules travel, meetings, and appointments for managers or supervisors.
Prepares agendas and schedules for meetings.
Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment.
Maintains a system for recording expenses and the use of petty cash.
Assists with report preparation.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
Ability to work independently.
Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Three to five years of experience in an administrative role
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computers, projectors, scanners, copiers, facsimile machines, calculators, etc.
· Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle
· Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
· Light Work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree
$42,000 - $55,000 a year
Salary is based on experience and qualifications.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
Due to our in-person and in office work with LAUSD, City of LA, County of LA and other work partners that require our team to be vaccinated we require that all potential candidates must be COVID-19 vaccinated with either, Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson.
WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND EQUIPMENT USED
The successful candidate will be required to report to and work from the office complex at least five days a week. Offices are traditionally equipped with computers, telephones, desks, chairs, and office machines. Additionally, each office offers an instructional classroom from which orientations and trainings are conducted.
SALARY RANGE:
Benefits and salary will be negotiated based on experience, education, and the needs of the program.

Must be available to work Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday from 9:00am – 5:30pm and Wednesday 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm
