PROJECT CONTROLLER

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Controller is responsible for the accounting and finance needs at a project level and works closely with the project manager(s) to ensure that the project is being run efficiently. The Project Controller also monitors and reports on progress to ensure schedules and budgets are met. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a team player, and possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. The Project Controller must have at least 4 years of experience in construction accounting and functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinate accounts payable for vendors and subcontractors
    • Manage the owner and subcontractor billing process
    • Document control and document compliance
    • Timely release of subcontractor payments
    • Process expense reimbursement and project-specific invoices
    • Streamline project payroll for processing by the company payroll team
    • Administer over and audit project documentation in regard to safety, subcontractors, insurance, permits, and owner billings
    • Assist in the resolution of claims/exposure with appropriate parties
    • Coordinate lunches, team building projects, order and maintain office supplies

REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field strongly preferred
    • 4+ years’ of related experience in the construction industry
    • Experience with Textura Payment Management required
    • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
    • Solid computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
    • Certified payroll experience is strongly preferred
    • Experience in construction accounting software such as Procore a plus
$90,000 - $110,000 a year
