SENIOR PROJECT CONTROLLER

The Senior Project Controller is responsible for the accounting and finance needs at a project level and works closely with the project manager(s) to ensure that the project is being run efficiently. The ideal candidate is detailed-oriented, a team player, and possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. The Senior Project Controller must have at least 7 years of experience in construction accounting and functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinate accounts payable for vendors and subcontractors
    • Manage the full payment application process (owner and subcontractor billings/payments)
    • Document control as needed (work orders, change orders, etc.)
    • Review and track document compliance (preliminary notices, lien releases, insurance renewals, etc.)
    • Audit project job costs and reimbursable
    • Assist with the company year-end audit, at the project level
    • Generate accounting reporting as needed including analysis of revenue recognition 
    • Process expense reimbursements and project-specific invoices
    • Streamline project payroll for processing by the company payroll team
    • Enter certified payroll and track labor compliance, as needed

REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field strongly preferred
    • 7+ years of related experience in the construction industry
    • Experience with Textura Payment Management is strongly preferred
    • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
    • Solid computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
    • Certified payroll experience is strongly preferred, specifically LCP Tracker experience
    • Experience in construction accounting software such as Procore and Extracker is a plus
$95,000 - $110,000 a year
