We're seeking a Senior Product Designer to become a key member of our Core Experience team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping, testing, and refining features that elevate the core Bumble Date experience. This position is perfect for a designer who is passionate about delivering top-tier product experiences and is committed to bringing exceptional design to life for our members.
What You'll be Doing:
- Own design projects from concept through launch.
- You'll set the vision for user experience, explore complex problem spaces, generate and validate solutions, and evolve the experience to be most impactful.
- Be the voice of our members. You'll understand our users' behaviors through quantitative and qualitative data and develop hypotheses and design experiments to guide us to the best solutions.
- Work closely with product and engineering to find elegant and delightful solutions to design challenges.
- Produce high quality designs and experiences; knowing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail, and when to make lo-fi sketches and prototypes.
- Contribute your design thinking skills to other areas of the platform (education, marketing, customer success, etc.)
- You can use your technical understanding to evaluate design solutions and facilitate guidance to engineering teams.
- Strong proficiency in Figma and other design tools.
- Be comfortable breaking down ambiguous problems, ruthlessly prioritizing the highest impact work, and aligning a cross-functional team around it.
- Sweat the details, strive for simplicity, and tie together interconnected projects to make complex tasks approachable
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of tech/startup or digital product agency experience, or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design
- Experience working on consumer products
- Experience working with developers and PMs building and shipping applications or software
- Extraordinary visual design skills and strong understanding of UX principles
- Background in visual/interaction design, UX/UI, branding & identity, and typography
- Experience with low and high-fidelity prototyping
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
An Added Bonus If You Have:
- Experience with design systems
- Experience designing for various platforms, web, iOS, android
- A strong understanding of software engineering workflows and principles is encouraged
