We’re looking for a thoughtful, strategic Senior UX Researcher to help shape the future of how people connect and build community. You’ll work on products that support meaningful friendships and group belonging, helping us understand how people form, nurture, and sustain these relationships through technology, and how those relationships extend into the real world.

This role sits within our Friendship & Community team, where we explore emerging patterns of social connection and translate insight into direction. You’ll be embedded in a collaborative, cross-functional team with strong design, product, and technical partners.

You will report to the Head of UX Research and will join a close knit team of UX Researchers and Research Operations. UX Research at Bumble is part of the broader Product organisation.

What You’ll Do:

    • Lead and conduct research across the product lifecycle, from foundational discovery to tactical validation.
    • Identify and prioritise user needs, behaviours, and opportunities related to friendship, in-person connection, and community experiences.
    • Bring clarity to complex, ambiguous problem spaces through rigorous, human-centred research.
    • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to shape product strategy and day-to-day decisions.
    • Support and enable team members to conduct their own research, creating tools and guidance where needed.
    • Champion research best practices and help build a culture of learning and curiosity across the team.
    • Synthesise findings into actionable insights, frameworks, and artefacts that influence decisions at all levels.

What We’re Looking For:

    • 6+ years of UX research experience
    • Experience on consumer products
    • Experience working in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
    • Strong command of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
    • Experience conducting tactical research as well as shaping strategic direction.
    • Ability to support and upskill cross-functional teams to conduct research independently where relevant.
    • Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills at multiple levels.
    • Interest in how technology supports real-world experiences - especially friendship, community, and events.
    • Bonus: Experience working on 0–1, early stage, or evolving products. Experience working on Social/Community platforms.

Why Join Us:

    • This is a chance to help shape the future of how people connect—with research at the heart of it. You’ll influence real product decisions and contribute to meaningful work that matters to people’s lives.
