Bumble is looking for an experienced and strategic Senior People Operations Specialist to join our People & Culture team.

In this role, you’ll leverage deep operational HR knowledge to shape, lead, and optimize core People processes across our global business. You’ll be responsible for driving high-impact initiatives, resolving complex people operations challenges, and improving how we deliver an exceptional employee experience at scale. You will also work closely with cross-functional partners, advise stakeholders, and help steer the evolution of our HR systems, policies, and practices.

This role reports to the Global Director of People Operations, based in London, UK.

Candidates should live within a commutable distance to London, as we offer a hybrid working pattern with office attendance averaging two days per week.

What you will do:

    • Act as a primary point of contact for People & Culture tickets, resolving a wide variety of employee queries ranging from routine to complex, ensuring timely and accurate resolution or escalation.
    • Lead on employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, data changes, and leave administration, identifying opportunities to streamline and improve workflows.
    • Manage and continuously improve employee service delivery, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and an excellent employee experience.
    • Lead People Operations projects end-to-end, including the implementation of new tools, systems, and processes that support global scalability and compliance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Payroll, Benefits, Legal, and People Partner,s to ensure seamless, accurate execution of shared processes and deliverables.
    • Provide high-quality, accurate data and reporting, including compliance documentation and payroll-related inputs (e.g., leave of absence tracking and final pay calculations).
    • Partner with the People Tech team to maintain and optimize our HRIS (e.g., Workday), ensuring data integrity, improved functionality, and user experience.
    • Maintain and enhance internal documentation, policies, and standard operating procedures, ensuring these are clear, current, and accessible.
    • Mentor and provide guidance to colleagues within the People Operations team and across related departments, helping to build capability, share knowledge, and support professional development.
    • Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and employee support in line with evolving business needs.

About you:

    • Typically 6+ years of experience in HR Operations or People Services roles, ideally within fast-paced, high-growth environments.
    • Proven track record of independently managing end-to-end HR operational workflows and employee service delivery.
    • Strong expertise with HRIS systems (preferably Workday), data integrity, and reporting.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and implement process improvements that drive measurable business impact.
    • Skilled problem solver, able to analyze complex situations and exercise sound judgment to deliver timely and effective solutions.
    • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, capable of working effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders including Payroll, Benefits, Legal, and People Partners.
    • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
    • High level of discretion, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
    • Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results with accuracy and accountability.
