About the Role
The Senior Reporting and Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for working closely with our Business Wire leadership to define the required reporting and analytical needs of the organization. You will be responsible for enhancing data-driven decisions by delivering critical reporting and insightful analysis that help guide business strategy. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams and other members of the BI team to develop solutions that improve systems, processes, reporting, and policies in support of the organization’s key initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Drive the end-to-end process for creating reports and data visualizations.
- Understand business use cases and requirements in order to design, create, and maintain analytics solutions which provide insights to stakeholders.
- Create both standard and custom reporting solutions, conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, and provide associated reporting support for internal operations.
- Define and track Key Performance Indicators, perform what-if analysis, and create forecasting models that are required to provide critical insights and improve our overall decision-making capabilities.
- Present the analysis to senior executives in the organization.
- Work closely with business functions such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Product Management to deliver key reporting capabilities.
What You'll Need
- 8+ years of professional experience in Business Intelligence/Advanced Business Analytics as well as expertise in designing and building data infrastructure/automated reporting tools.
- 6+ years of experience in SQL and databases in a business analytics environment with cloud and big data technologies, complex datasets, and data warehousing.
- 3+ years of experience in creating reports, dashboards and data visualizations with Tableau. Expertise in design and development of Tableau data source. Advanced data visualization skills with the ability to tell stories and make dashboards actionable.
- 3+ years of managing the Salesforce platform including report building, data visualization, and tracking the sales pipeline. Understanding of key Salesforce objects and data model with the ability to query Salesforce data.
- Experience in the design and build of BI systems with Oracle EBS, Salesforce as the source.
- Experience in building analytics for quote to cash functions.
- Experience in the design and build of customer master, product master, and hierarchies to support reporting and analytics.
- High-level communication and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with a data mindset and the ability to influence cross functional stakeholders as well as proactively anticipate and address business needs.
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Tableau and Salesforce certifications
- Experience with Looker and Domo
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift and Oracle
- Experience with any ETL or IPaaS
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
- Python
- Machine Learning
- Ownership of Data Dictionary and other standards

What We Offer
The base salary range for this position is $140K to $180K/year. Offered salary will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Business Wire reserves the right to modify this salary range at any time.
