Fashion & Beauty Identities Writer
UPDATE: Thank you so much for your interest in this position! Unfortunately, we have receieved several dozen applicants and have chosen to move forward with them at this time. That said, we encourage you to still apply to this position here. If we have additional openings, we will be in touch!
Bustle's Fashion & Beauty team is looking to expand our staff of part-time remote writers! In addition to mainstream fashion and beauty news, we're on the hunt for experienced writers who have a passion for covering style-related stories that impact marginalized communities and unique identities (including POC/LGBTQ/plus-size/body positive perspectives).
If you had opinions on Barbie's three new body types, Syro's heels for masculine humans, or SmartGlamour's inclusive NYFW show, we want your voice on our site. We're specifically looking for writers who can work for six hour shifts at least two days a week between Sunday and Thursday. In addition to be able to report intelligently on sensitive topics, concision and accuracy are key for this role. The job is fast-paced, so be ready to drop everything and cover a breaking story at a moment's notice!
Interested writers should also be familiar with Bustle's voice and be ready to pitch a few ideas during the hiring process.
- A passion for fashion & beauty
- A strong voice and innovative ideas
- 2+ years of editorial experience (personal blogs count!)
- Availability to work remotely at least two days a week during business hours Sunday-Thursday
