Bustle Digital Group is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Talent Partnerships, to secure access to a range of talent including social influencers, thought-leaders, and celebrity talent. This role will be responsible for recommending all talent that is pitched and activated for branded programs and select editorial series, in collaboration with other members of our BDG branded creative team. The ideal candidate should be a strong collaborator, a creative problem solver, a savvy negotiator, and have an extensive rolodex of contacts within the talent community.


    • Research and recommend talent for editorial and branded needs across photo, video, and events in post-sale, utilizing expertise to source local, on the rise, and establish talent in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle categories. The ideal candidates would also have an added focus on technology, news/journalism, culture, and men’s lifestyle sectors.
    • A strong focus on “real people” casting for editorial and branded video and photo content, as well as vetting potential talent for on-camera experience and compelling narratives 
    • Attend brainstorms for high profile clients in pre-sale, providing any preliminary talent options and/or confirming budget feasibility 
    • Provide strategic pricing estimates and sample talent in pre-sale in a timely manner, including rationale to support your recommendations
    • Build visual client-facing talent decks for clients to review and rank talent, supported by detailed bios, metrics, rationale, and relevant imagery
    • Manage and engage talent on set for branded photo and video shoots, in addition to branded events and BDG tentpoles
    • Assist in the development of company-wide external and internal BDG talent strategy, outlining a clear process for how we engage with talent for branded & editorial campaigns, and appear in-market as industry leaders within the media landscape
    • Help identify talent team needs and recommend growth opportunities for the department
    • Grow and maintain relationships with notable brands, talent, and agencies, as well as participating in external opportunities to foster new business
    • Collaborate with talent & branded editorial team to build detailed rosters of preferred BDG talent by site/category to help facilitate talent requests in pre/post-sale
    • Stay on top of influencer marketing trends, cultural topics, and key industry events, and distribute monthly updates to the wider sales organization 
    • Oversee Senior Manager of Talent & Influencers


    • 7+ years experience in booking talent, with at least 3 years overseeing casting and production for influencer campaigns
    • Experience managing a team
    • Extensive network of relationships across the talent community (agents, managers, publicists, labels, studios, networks, etc.)
    • Encyclopedic knowledge of influencers across fashion, beauty, health & wellbeing and lifestyle verticals
    • Strategic and creative thinker
    • Strong writing and communication skills and sharp attention to detail 
    • Tenacious individual, with proven track record for negotiation
    • Familiarity with SAG-AFTRA talent regulations and policies, and FTC sponsor guidelines
    • Knowledge of blog and social platform analytics
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
