About the department
Novo Nordisk Pharmatech has approximately 160 employees and is 100% owned by Novo Nordisk A/S. Novo Nordisk Pharmatech's ability to produce and deliver quality products to the pharmaceutical industry, combined with our complete range of services within the regulatory requirements, make us a preferred supplier to a range of global pharmaceutical companies. Novo Nordisk Pharmatech is a growing company, which will execute many exciting projects in the future and provide good opportunities in the job. Headquarters is the south of Copenhagen, Koge, Denmark. You will work closely with 15 motivated colleagues in the sales and marketing department. Novo Nordisk Pharmatech is developing rapidly and experiencing high growth rates, so you will have ample possibilities for influencing the future business.
You will have overall sales responsible for Quats products sold mainly in North America, assigned distributors and key accounts. Your success very much depends on your ability to achieve the ambitious goals for sales and business opportunities through your structured results orientated approach. You will be expected to make regular international business trips to our existing customers with the purpose of securing, developing the business. You will proactively seek, contact and meet with new potential customers in order to capture new market growth plus drive your assigned distributor to perform in the same manner. As this is a technical product there is a strong desire for a scientific background in order to give credibility and assurance to our customers and distributors. A further critical attribute is the ability to prepare market analyses, sales strategies and forecasts for your specific area in order to suggest activities that will improve the market share, turnover and earnings. Based on your analyses and suggestions you prepare the action plan and implement the activities accordingly. This interesting and inspiring job will give you approximately 50 travel days per year primarily to North America and EU.
You will have a scientific degree ideally in a similar field enabling you to engage with both R&D and procurement positions. In addition, you have approx 10 years international sales experience within Global Pharmaceutical accounts ideally focusing on the US . You have several years of experience in selling high value critical GMP process products with at least 5 years of proven sales record. Plus you should have a proven success of driving large distributers to successfully meeting their objectives in a structured smart manner. It is an advantage if you are accustomed to negotiating contracts resulting in closing a successful sale. For this job you will need to be persistent, convincing and self-confident, yet you must also master dealing with conflicts in a calm and respectful manner. Your innate high energy level a careful and quality-conscious mind-set makes you a reliable and valued colleague, plus an "ambassador" to the external companies of Novo Nordisk Pharmatech.
