As a Legal Counsel International, you will serve as a key advisor on legal matters across international and European operations. You will support project teams throughout the full contract lifecycle—from bid review to project execution and dispute resolution—ensuring compliance with legal standards while supporting business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly in Francophone regions, to deliver pragmatic, timely, and strategic legal guidance.

Your Task
- Advise and support international and European business units, subsidiaries, and branches on a wide range of legal matters, especially in French-speaking countries by:
- Reviewing tender documents and identifying legal risks
- Providing recommendations during bid evaluations
- Drafting and negotiating contracts with clients, partners, and subcontractors
- Ensuring smooth handover of contract terms and obligations to project execution teams
- Providing ongoing legal support during the construction phase
- Advising on claims and dispute strategies in collaboration with contract managers
- Managing legal disputes, including litigation and arbitration
- Selecting and overseeing external counsel as needed
- Engage with project managers, operational leaders, business developers, and contract managers to embed legal best practices and mitigate risks across all phases of project delivery.
Your Profile
- University degree in Law; an additional qualification is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in international construction law, French public procurement, or project development, either at a leading law firm or within a construction company
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts, real estate development, and contract administration is an advantage
- Interest in project financing and public-private partnerships is a plus
- Business-minded with a strong sense of legal independence and integrity
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Highly detail-oriented, structured, and methodical
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborative team player focused on collective results
- Proactive and able to thrive in fast-paced environments under tight deadlines
- High ethical standards and professional integrity
- Willingness to travel internationally for short assignments
