Our client, a leading international engineering and construction company, has been entrusted with delivering the €100 million MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) scope of a €600 million investment in a cutting-edge glass production facility in Lommel. This large-scale industrial project is set to become one of Belgium’s most significant developments, and our client plays a critical role in its successful delivery.
As Junior HVAC (MEP) Coordinator – Mechanical, you’ll be on-site, coordinating and following up mechanical subcontractors for HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems. This is a junior, hands-on coordination role with direct exposure to site execution. You’ll receive on-the-job coaching from senior colleagues to build your technical and management skills while supporting a high-profile project.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise and follow up on the daily activities of mechanical subcontractors (HVAC, plumbing, process piping).
- Ensure work is carried out according to plans, safety rules, and project timelines.
- Coordinate with the technical office on drawings, materials, and design clarifications.
- Assist in planning, inspections, and testing of installations.
- Report progress, issues, and risks to the Site Manager and Project Engineers.
- Contribute to problem-solving on-site and propose improvements.
- Participate in safety toolbox meetings and ensure HSE compliance.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or similar.
- 0–5 years of experience in HVAC/MEP coordination or on-site mechanical works (internships count).
- Knowledge of mechanical building services is an asset (HVAC, plumbing, process piping).
- Hands-on, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Category B driving license.
Languages
- English required
- Dutch or French is an asset
