For young civil engineers looking to jumpstart their career on site working as a Junior Site Superintendent (Assistant Project Manager) on projects in Belgium.
Our client is an important general contracting company in Belgium, active in the construction and engineering of buildings, civil works, infrastructure and pipeline projects. With projects in Belgium, EU and abroad, they offer a wide range of career opportunities.
What you’ll do
- be working on the construction site;
- assist and lead the implementation of the construction project;
- are partially responsible for production control, output, monitoring and coordination of suppliers and own teams;
- are partially responsible for supervision and coordination of the execution, installation and site management (logistics, materials, etc.);
- follow the planning and look after the correct implementation of ISO- and VCA-procedures;
- report to the Construction Manager and/or Project Manager;
- assist in the procurement of materials and contracting subcontractors if not working on a project in execution;
You will qualify because you
- have a bachelor or master’s degree in civil engineering or construction;
- have graduated in 2019 or 2020;
- are interested to work on site;
- are geographically flexible to work on projects in Brussels, Flanders or Wallonia (depending on where you live);
- are immediately willing to take ownership and push your boundaries;
Of course, languages are important
- Dutch is required if working on Projects in Brussels and Flanders;
- French is required if working on Projects in Brussels and Wallonia;
- English is optional but always useful;
You will be based
- On site, depending on the location of the project this can be in Brussels, Flanders or the Wallonia.
