Our client is an internationally active engineering and contracting firm delivering high-impact projects in energy, infrastructure, and industrial construction. They are responsible for the full MEP scope of a €600 million state-of-the-art glass production facility in Lommel — one of Europe’s largest ongoing industrial projects.
As Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will support the project’s mechanical engineering activities, gaining hands-on experience in HVAC, piping, and industrial systems. You’ll assist with planning, design coordination, and on-site execution while ensuring technical standards and safety requirements are met. You’ll receive on-site coaching and training from experienced engineers, allowing you to grow your skills and develop within an international project team.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical installations for HVAC, piping, and industrial systems.
- Support senior engineers with technical calculations, specifications, and material take-offs.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of mechanical systems.
- Participate in inspections, testing, and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
- Prepare and update project documentation and reports.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 0–5 years of relevant experience in industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects (internships also considered).
- Interest in HVAC, piping, and industrial mechanical systems.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and willing to work full-time on-site in Lommel.
Languages
- English: Required
- Dutch or French: Asset
