Commissioning Manager Site-based, Railway Infrastructure (Urgent)

The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for providing engineering and technical support to a new major railway infrastructure project close to completion. Outstanding management skills and proven track record in handling railway infrastructure are crucial for this role.
Our client is one of the largest general contracting companies in Belgium also operating internationally in the EU, UAE and Africa. They are active in the construction and engineering of buildings, civil works and infrastructure.
What you’ll do
- supervise and approve the project’s commissioning plans in accordance with the guidelines and requirements;
- obtain approvals from respective experts involved in the project;
- coordinate with the contractors to ensure smooth commissioning of the project;
- proactively identify and readdress commissioning and malfunction problems;
- prepare and manage commission records of site observations, testing processes and checklists;
- compile, summarize, and update commission report data;
You will qualify because you
- have a master’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electro-mechanical engineering, or related field;
- have solid experience in rail commissioning and in EU legislation including Rail systems (track/catenary) and interaction with the Infrastructure Manager. Additional experience in the commissioning of signalling systems is a plus.
- have extensive technical knowledge, specifically with Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI) and Common Safety Method (CSM);
- learning on the job is possible;
- are available to work immediately between May and June 2021;
- are willing to travel and work in Latvia;
- have excellent communication and organisational skills;
