We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the technical development of proposals for innovative energy-related projects of our client. In this role, you will coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver competitive, high-quality technical offers, ensuring a smooth handover to the project execution team.
Our client is an environmental technology and multinational company with a global footprint in more than 20 countries. They provide solutions for sustainable urbanization, focusing on four key areas: energy & environment, urban development, connectivity, and asset management.
What You’ll Do
- Proposal Coordination: Manage the technical portion of proposals from start to finish, including collaboration with potential partners.
- Specification Analysis: Review tender specifications with engineering and business development teams to outline project requirements.
- Solution Design: Lead the design phase of energy projects with input from process engineers, project engineers, mechanical designers, and EIA specialists, ensuring alignment with engineering standards.
- Partner Collaboration: Serve as the primary technical liaison with partners, discussing scope and project timelines.
- Documentation & Guarantees: Prepare detailed proposal documents and guarantees in collaboration with project engineers, business development, and project management teams.
- Financial Planning: Work with the project finance manager to develop cost calculations and cash flow planning.
- Project Planning: Collaborate with the project manager and planner to create comprehensive project schedules.
- Bid Alignment: Integrate the technical aspects of proposals with commercial components to create a competitive offer.
- Client Negotiations: Participate in client negotiations alongside the Business Development Manager, focusing on the technical elements of proposals.
Your Profile
- Educational Background: Hold a higher degree in Engineering with experience in project engineering, proposals, or technical sales within heavy industries, machinery, process, or energy sectors.
- Commercial Mindset: Possess a strong commercial spirit with experience in preparing and defending technical bids and proposals.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and French is an asset.
- Travel Willingness: Open to regular travel to meet proposal requirements.
