For one of our clients, a major general contractor, based in the UAE, we are looking for an Experienced Project Director Complex Buildings with experience on the construction of museums.
Start date between October 2021 and January 2022.
Your role
- You will supervise your project and coordinate towards a successful completion in accordance with client requirements, organizational policies/procedures, contract, time and cost specifications;
- You establish the organization/project chart to ensure smooth operations on-site between the different trades;
- You validate contractual options, whether technical, financial or time related;
- You validate legal matters, with agreement of the legal department;
- You validate fiscal matters together with the Financial and Administration Manager of the project in agreement with the CFO;
- You approve all engagements of the project;
- You engage in social contacts and public relations to the benefit of the company;
- You will implement project budgets and resources, enforce project standards, technical reviews, manage team allocation, mobilize qualified personnel and specified tasks and prepare monthly progress reports;

- You possess in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge to deal with situations in a background of conceptual understanding;
- You are an experienced people and team manager;
- You seek consensus and you are a born listener;
- You have an advanced understanding of contract management;
- You have a deep knowledge of technical complex domains and a very good knowledge of site organization;
- You have the ability to assess issues rapidly, develop alternative solutions, implement pragmatic strategies;
- You are an excellent communicator;
- You are entrepreneurial and result-oriented;
- You have a high degree of flexibility and adaptability;
Your profile
- You have a Master degree in Civil Engineering and Construction;
- You have a minimum of 10 years of working experience as a Project Director on complex buildings
- Experience with the construction of one or more museums is an asset but not an absolute must;
- You have gained excellent experience in claim handling and contract management (FIDIC);
- You are fluent in English, other languages are an asset;
- You are willing to live and work in Abu Dhabi, if not yet the case;
