Our client, a growing international company, is seeking a skilled Contract Manager to join their team in Belgium. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of complex, high-profile projects across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany, making it essential for the effective delivery and management of contracts.
About the Role:
As a Contract Manager, you will serve as the primary authority on contractual matters, guiding project teams and management in contract execution and ensuring all obligations are met. You’ll be working on challenging, international projects, both onsite and from the Ghent office, contributing directly to project success.
What You’ll Do:
- Contract Oversight: Guide project teams on contract matters from start to finish.
- Lifecycle Management: Manage the full contract lifecycle, including variation orders and claims.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and address potential risks to prevent delays or losses.
- Tool Development: Implement and monitor tools to ensure compliance and reduce disputes.
- Team Training: Deliver training to enhance contract awareness and best practices.
- Documentation Review: Draft and review key documents, including contracts and agreements.
- Negotiation: Lead contract and subcontract negotiations during execution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with insurance, procurement, legal, and other teams to manage obligations.
Your Profile:
- Experience: 3-5 years in contract management, construction, or related fields.
- Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s in construction management, business, engineering, law, or related areas.
- Contract Knowledge: Familiar with FIDIC, NEC, or VOB/B frameworks.
- Languages: Fluent in English and French; German is a plus.
- Skills: Detail-oriented, strong communicator, team player.
