As a Prequalification Officer in the Estimating Department, you will be at the forefront of securing new opportunities by managing the preparation and submission of prequalification dossiers. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our client meets and exceeds the rigorous standards set by their global clientele.
About the Role: Working closely with the Prequalification (PQ) Manager and Business Development Manager, you will ensure all documentation is precise, comprehensive, and delivered on time. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will help propel the company’s mission to create sustainable solutions for a better world. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the success of our client’s ambitious projects by showcasing their capabilities through expertly crafted prequalification submissions.
Your Tasks
- Documentation Excellence: Thoroughly review prequalification files, extracting and summarizing critical information to align with client requirements.
- Dossier Preparation: Compile, prepare, and submit prequalification dossiers, ensuring all submissions meet stringent client criteria.
- Content Mastery: Write, edit, and proofread sections of prequalification templates to ensure clarity, accuracy, and a compelling presentation.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage the logistics of document delivery, ensuring timely submissions.
- Information Management: Oversee project references, certifications, and other essential documentation, keeping everything organized and up-to-date.
- Client Interaction: Respond to client queries, manage follow-ups, and update project details as needed to maintain strong client relationships.
- Library Maintenance: Maintain and update the prequalification library, ensuring easy access to the latest information and templates.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular activity reports to the PQ Manager, keeping leadership informed of progress and any potential issues.
- Team Support: Contribute to fostering a culture of leadership, initiative, and commitment within the team, helping to build a strong, community-focused environment.
Your Profile
- Construction Industry Expertise: You have a solid grasp of the construction or engineering sectors, including the specific language, processes, and workflow involved in tendering or estimating proposals for new construction projects.
- Engineering Background: You are an engineer with experience in construction, looking for a new challenge after working on-site or in construction/engineering support services.
- Document Management Experience: You have previous experience as a Document Controller, Data Management Officer, or in managing internal management systems within the construction or engineering industry.
- Technical Document Interpretation: You have experience interpreting technical documents within the construction and engineering fields, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
- Detail-Oriented: You have a sharp eye for detail, ensuring that all documentation is precise, accurate, and complete, which is crucial for managing prequalification dossiers.
- Organizational Skills: Your exceptional organizational abilities allow you to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.
- Communication: You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with internal teams and engage confidently with clients.
- Proactive Mindset: You take a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement, continuously enhancing prequalification practices to drive better outcomes.
