As the Chief Designer of Civil Structures, you will lead and mentor a team of designers specializing in complex civil construction. You will ensure high-quality technical designs, coordinate with other disciplines, and provide support to clients, streamlining the entire process.
Our client is a market leader in the Digital Engineering sector with a focus on complex infrastructure projects and other ground and road works. Your Tasks
- Create models, drawings, and measurement statements for civil infrastructure projects independently or as a team.
- Utilize 3D modeling, parametric design, and BIM techniques.
- Collaborate with stability engineers and coached junior and mid-level designers
- Guide the design process and support the design leader in planning and progress monitoring.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and specialists.
- Maintain a balance between budget, scope, and schedule.
- Identify and assess risks, engage in stakeholder discussions, and make informed decisions about choices and next steps.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architecture (NL) or Master's degree in Industrial Sciences, Architecture, and the Built Environment (BE), or equivalent experience
- Minimum eight years of relevant work experience in civil projects, with at least five years in modeling civil infrastructure.
- Familiarity with current design guidelines.
- Experience with traditional and integrated contract forms;
- Proficiency in Revit and Dynamo;
- With strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Accurate, result-oriented, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in the Netherlands and Flanders region in Belgium.
