Our client is a leading international construction company specializing in large-scale infrastructure projects. They are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee complex civil and marine works in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. This is a unique opportunity to lead high-profile construction projects, including jetties, breakwaters, harbor infrastructure, and terminal developments.
What you will do
- Project Oversight: Manage the planning, execution, and completion of marine and civil infrastructure projects with a focus on quality, safety, and budget adherence.
- Site Operations: Supervise day-to-day construction activities, ensuring efficient coordination between teams and compliance with technical specifications.
- Technical Office Management: Oversee technical office operations on-site, including progress tracking, document control, and coordination between design and execution teams.
- Contract & Stakeholder Management: Engage with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with local regulations.
- Resource Allocation: Optimize the deployment of materials, labor, and equipment to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and environmental standards across the site.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor site teams, driving productivity and maintaining high-performance standards.
- Problem-Solving: Address technical challenges, unforeseen site conditions, and project deviations with effective solutions.
How you will qualify
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in project management, marine construction, or HSE compliance are a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing large-scale marine and civil infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise in jetties, breakwaters, harbor infrastructure, and terminal developments.
- Strong knowledge of technical office operations on-site, including document control, planning, and reporting.
- Deep understanding of construction methodologies, marine engineering principles, and structural engineering standards.
- Familiarity with contract management, subcontractor coordination, and cost control.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English (German is a plus but not mandatory).
