Our client, a leading international company in the construction sector, is seeking a Risk Manager responsible for identifying, registering, and managing risks and opportunities within large projects. This is a versatile role where your leadership and technical expertise are crucial in ensuring that projects run smoothly and without interruptions.

About the Role:

As a Risk Manager, you ensure a uniform structure and process, and guarantee the correct use of software tools for risk management. You play a key role in raising risk awareness among all project employees. Risk management must be fully integrated into all phases of the project, with a focus on a communicative approach. This means discussing the right topics with the right people at the right time.

What You Will Do:

    • Integrating Risk Management: You ensure a consistent risk management process and the proper use of software tools within the organization.
    • Providing Leadership: You take a leading role in increasing risk awareness among project staff and ensure that risk management is applied at every phase of the project.
    • Encouraging Creative Solutions: You lead brainstorming sessions with the project team during times of uncertainty, when innovation is needed, or when preventive actions are required to avoid problems.
    • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: You work closely with various disciplines, including design, preparation, execution, financial tracking, planning, and contract management to effectively manage risks.

Your Profile:

    • Experience and Skills: An ideal mix of technical experience, soft skills, and business management abilities.
    • Education: Preferably a Master’s degree in Engineering, with a focus on civil engineering. Other disciplines are also possible, provided there is an affinity with construction projects.
    • Work Experience: A minimum of several years of experience with large construction projects. Preferably in project risk management, but experience in project management, budget control, or tender management is also relevant.
