Our client is a major EU-based general contracting company, active in construction, real estate development, and concessions. With a strong presence across Europe and internationally, they are recognised for delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure projects. As part of a strategic transformation, they are investing in the reorganisation and optimisation of their plant and fleet operations.
They are now looking for a Construction Fleet and Equipment Coordinator to support and enhance the operational performance of their construction sites.
In this role, you will report to the Fleet and Plant Manager, and your position combines logistics, technical, and organisational responsibilities with a strategic focus on continuous improvement and efficient project execution.
What you’ll do
- Fleet Operations : Coordinate the daily allocation, movement, and availability of construction equipment and vehicles and ensure that fleet operations align with project timelines, site requirements, and productivity goals.
- Fleet Maintenance: Monitor and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to ensure uptime and safety and follow up on service interventions, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
- Internal Team Coordination : Support and organise internal teams involved in fleet logistics, maintenance, and site equipment operations and ensure alignment across departments to support seamless project execution.
- Coordination with External Partners : Collaborate with subcontractors, leasing companies, and suppliers for equipment rental, service, or transport and oversee service quality and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Procurement and Leasing : Assist in sourcing, selecting, and acquiring construction machinery and fleet equipment and manage leasing contracts and collaborate with procurement to optimise supplier performance and cost-efficiency.
- Contract Management : Ensure proper execution of contracts and track supplier performance and compliance and follow up on renewals, amendments, and issue resolution.
- Reporting : Prepare and deliver weekly reports on fleet availability, performance, maintenance, and logistics KPIs and use data to recommend improvements and streamline operations across sites.
You will qualify because you
- Have proven experience in equipment coordination, fleet operations, or construction logistics.
- Are familiar with construction machinery and their use in civil and infrastructure projects.
- Possess a strong sense of planning, organisation, and team communication.
- Can navigate contract terms, supplier management, and procurement processes.
- Are hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented in a dynamic work environment.
- Are confident using digital tools and reporting systems to track operations and performance.
Languages
- Dutch: required
- French: a plus
- English: a plus
EU citizens interested in working in Belgium and fluent in at least two of the required languages are encouraged to apply.
