Our client is an internationally active engineering and contracting company with a strong track record in delivering complex mechanical and electrical installations across industrial and infrastructure projects in Europe. Currently, the team is executing all HVAC and mechanical works for a large-scale glass production facility in Lommel.
As a Junior Site Superintendent – Mechanical Installation (Lommel Project), you will support the site team in the execution of HVAC, piping, and sanitary systems, ensuring installations are completed safely, accurately, and in line with the project plan. This is a hands-on, site-based role ideal for recent graduates or junior professionals looking to grow in the field of industrial mechanical engineering.
What You’ll Do
- Execute and follow up on mechanical installations (piping, HVAC, sanitary systems) on-site.
- Prepare materials, tools, and logistics in coordination with the site planner and supervisor.
- Participate in installation activities with the site teams and subcontractors.
- Interpret technical drawings and align installation work accordingly.
- Ensure that work is completed safely and follows project specifications.
- Support coordination between mechanical and other disciplines (electrical, structural, civil).
- Take part in daily site coordination meetings and progress tracking.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electromechanical or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in industrial or building mechanical works.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, piping installations, and site workflows.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow construction planning.
- Motivated to work in a hands-on, high-paced site environment.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
