As a Buyer in Construction & Civil Works, you’ll support critical procurement activities for the Oosterweel Project’s Right Bank works. From sourcing suppliers to securing competitive pricing and ensuring timely delivery, your role will be central to the successful execution of this landmark development.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for a defined scope of work within the project.
- Coordinate the full procurement cycle, from strategy development to contract finalization.
- Support or lead a small procurement team, depending on project needs.
- Analyze project requirements and initiate quotation requests for materials and services.
- Evaluate supplier offers on both financial and technical criteria.
- Conduct market research and share insights with tender and execution teams.
- Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve the best terms.
- Organize clarification and follow-up meetings to ensure contract alignment.
- Collaborate closely with design, planning, legal, and finance teams throughout the process.
- Report directly to the Lead Buyer.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant procurement experience, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Sound understanding of purchasing processes and contract negotiation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills in Dutch (fluency required).
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
Languages
- Dutch is required
- English is required
- French is a plus
