Our client is an internationally active engineering and contracting firm delivering high-impact projects in energy, infrastructure, and industrial construction. They are responsible for the full MEP scope of a €600 million state-of-the-art glass production facility in Lommel — one of Europe’s largest ongoing industrial projects.

As Junior Mechanical Building Services Designer, you will support the project’s mechanical design activities, gaining hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems. You’ll assist with 3D modelling, 2D design coordination, and subcontractor liaison to ensure flawless delivery. You’ll receive on-site coaching and training from experienced engineers, helping you develop your technical, coordination, and client-facing skills in an international project team.

What You’ll Do

    • Support senior designers in preparing and coordinating 2D/3D models for HVAC, plumbing, and process piping.
    • Assist with calculations, specifications, and material take-offs.
    • Help manage design offices and external engineering partners.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and safe execution.
    • Contribute to inspections and commissioning, learning from real-site conditions.
    • Maintain and update project documentation.
    • Participate in client meetings and develop communication skills.

What We’re Looking For

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
    • 0–5 years of experience in industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects (internships also considered).
    • Interest in HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems.
    • Familiarity with Revit or AutoCAD is a plus (training provided on the job).
    • Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work full-time on-site in Lommel.
    • Category B driving license.

    • Dutch or French: Asset
