Be part of a multidisciplinary project team contributing to the development of a major industrial facility in Belgium. The project involves extensive concrete works and structural elements and is scheduled for completion by early 2027. The company driving this effort is known for delivering complex construction projects across Europe and beyond, with a strong focus on engineering excellence and execution quality.

As part of the team, the Technical Office Engineer will play a key role in the preparation and coordination of civil works, ensuring constructibility, planning alignment, cost control, and overall project efficiency.

What You’ll Do

    • Support all technical office activities related to civil structures, from design coordination to execution support.
    • Develop and manage Method Statements (RAMS), ensuring alignment with project-specific safety and quality standards.
    • Act as the technical interface between the office and the site team, addressing constructibility questions (e.g., crane placements, sequencing of complex structures).
    • Coordinate effectively with:
    • Client representatives
    • Site operations team
    • Quality and HSE departments
    • In-house draftsmen for shop and detailed drawings.
    • Ensure practical and cost-effective solutions for construction logistics.
    • Contribute to planning and execution optimisation across the project lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience in civil/building construction (excluding rail).
    • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in RAMS documentation.
    • Clear communicator with solid coordination skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
    • Ability to support both field teams and office stakeholders with technical clarity and constructibility insights.

Languages

    • French – Required
    • English – Required
    • Dutch is a plus.

Work Conditions

    • Split time: 80% Technical Office, 20% On-Site.
    • Open to freelance or permanent arrangements.
    • Freelancers must have their own vehicle and be able to operate autonomously.
