Position Description
CamberView seeks a talented and highly motivated Associate for its advisory business who will play a vital role in supporting all aspects of the firm’s core business. The Associate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities
• Identify and analyze corporate governance, activism and contested M&A issues facing public companies and assist in developing a plan for successfully advising companies on these issues
• Prepare sophisticated and effective information memoranda and management/investor presentations on key issues facing clients
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the client, its, business and its governance structure
• Research, analyze and develop materials relating to corporate governance trends and shareholder takeover defenses for public company board of directors and senior management
• Draft talking points and Q&A to prepare clients for meetings with institutional investors and proxy advisory firms
• Manage and help execute the firm’s process for identifying and prioritizing new clients
• Demonstrate the capacity to work directly with clients and prospective clients, successfully contributing to both relationships
• Prepare partners for speaking engagements and presentations in a variety of forums
• Collaborate in building a strong firm and helping to execute on the operational aspects of a small fast-growing organization

Qualifications
• Prior experience working within any of the following firms, with some exposure to corporate governance matters:
• Investment Banking
• Strategic Consulting
• Law
• Public company in a role supporting the board of directors or senior executives on governance matters
• Other corporate advisory role
• Prior experience analyzing governance matters and/or the operations, structure and growth of public companies
• BA or BS from a leading university
• Interest in financial markets and ability to quickly grasp financial concepts
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience performing in-depth research
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in presentations and express complex strategies in an organized and articulate manner
• Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to comfortably interact with senior-level executives and business clients
• Creative, innovative team player who displays sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills
• Confident, energetic, and enthusiastic about the mission of CamberView, with a high level of integrity

Compensation
This position will provide competitive base compensation and bonus based on the Associate’s performance against clearly defined expectations.
