CampusWorks consultants engage with our clients in higher education to assist them in fully leveraging their people, processes, policies, and technologies. We work collaboratively with clients’ functional and technical teams and our CampusWorks colleagues to evaluate current processes, design future-state optimal processes, and to architect, develop, test, train, and rollout process and technical solutions that delight our clients.
We are seeking an experienced Workday Reporting Consultant to join our dynamic ERP team. The Workday Reporting Consultant will be working within a program that is transforming the Finance, Human Resources, and Research Administration support environments across various client colleges and universities, while focusing on people, processes, and technology. This includes the implementation of a new Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system (Workday) to support the changes. The activities will include the review and redesign of business processes (including use of ancillary and bolt-on IT systems), redesign of the chart of accounts, and integration of efforts with several ongoing University System projects. The Workday Reporting Consultant will serve a vital role within the program.
As part of our consulting team, the Workday Reporting Consultants responsible for custom reporting solutions to Workday reports where practical and applicable. We are seeking a knowledgeable Workday Reporting Consultant to help guide and lead data needs discussions, as well as Workday data capability, availability, and mapping exercises.
Duties
- The Workday Reporting Consultant will:
- Partner with Data & Reporting Team BAs to document and map schools, colleges, and divisions data and reporting requirements to out-of-the-box or planned custom Workday reports where applicable
- Partner with the program Workday Data & Reporting Team to understand the full scope of forthcoming Workday reports, Workday tenant environments, and data availability within tenants
- Serve as a knowledge expert of Workday report datasets and build capabilities
- Demo and showcase Workday reports to schools, colleges, and divisions business and technical teams to confirm requirements and needs
- Design a Workday report upskill & training regimen, leveraging Workday vendor provided and other training resources
- Serve as a technical design and development mentor to the report build and delivery team
- Serve as a knowledge expert of Workday report datasets and build capabilities
- Partner with program Workday Data & Reporting to align and integrate the local team with existing delivery and deployment best practices
The Workday Reporting Consultant will also help form and upskill the report build and delivery team as they onboard. The consultant will assist with the following:
Responsibilities
- Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements
- Devises or modifies complex information systems including analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary
- Participates in requirements planning and feasibility determination
- Works on tasks including project or functional requirements, functional design, functional configuration, testing, and documentation
- Trains, serves as a resource, and provides guidance to other IT business analysts on non-routine problems, processes, and policies
- Assists team members in developing strategic approaches to problem-solving and anticipating issues
- May work with external vendors or service providers
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years Workday report developer experience.
- Experience coordinating and collaborating with cross functional partners in report specification and requirement gathering.
- Preference given for those with experience collaborating across multiple functional areas including Human Resources, Finance, and Research Awards & Grants.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge and/or experience building Workday simple, advanced, matrix, composite, trending, scorecard, dashboard, and BIRT reports.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge and/or experience of Prism Analytics.
- Ability to train/knowledge transfer with developers not experienced in Workday reporting solutions.
- Ability to diagnose and solve complex reporting issues.
- Experience developing reports in the areas of Human Resources, Finance, and/or Research Awards & Grants.
- Experience with higher education, government, or nonprofit organizations.
