Based in San Francisco, we are looking for a highly adaptive candidate to help us take our Bay Area construction operations to the next level.  You will support both our field and project management teams with a variety of responsibilities ranging from data collection, project coordination, jobsite safety, materials buyout and management, and job estimating and costing. Beyond that, you’ll be an integral part of the Canvas team, helping us to leverage our tools and data to make jobsites run more efficiently. The right person will help Canvas strike the right balance between trailblazing a new way of building and drawing from industry best practices.

    • Coordinate delivery of materials and equipment to job sites
    • Procure materials for projects and monitor/manage inventory levels in our shop
    • Collect data in the field and analyze productivity rates
    • Conduct quantity takeoffs to support project estimates
    • Support superintendent with time card submittals, expenses, onboarding new field employees, and safety training and audits
    • Work with project and field teams to prepare job cost forecasts 
    • Document control including RFI’s, submittals, and change orders for projects
    • Assist project manager with daily project coordination and attending pre-planning and post mortem meetings
    • Coordinate project schedule and monitor overall construction progress


    • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other related field
    • Approximately 50% of work hours will be spent in the field on various jobsites throughout the Bay Area
    • Previous commercial construction experience preferred
    • Productivity driven mindset - always looking for ways to make a process more efficient or scalable 
    • Highly adaptable to new environments and open to doing things in a different way
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Working knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff and QuickBid a plus
    • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite
