Assist and oversee all aspects of accounting, auditing and financial reporting and help VP Finance build the finance and accounting systems required to manage all aspects of short, medium and long-term planning. Supports organization financial objectives by providing financial analyses and recommendations; directing staff.


RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee all general ledger accounting activities.
    • All general ledger accounting including monthly P&L reporting, Balance Sheet reconciliation, and monthly cash-flow
    • Supervise Sr. Accountant and Accountant in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
    • Assist and/or manage the preparation of Financial Statements and Budgeting Analysis
    • Assist in the creation and maintenance of Accounting Policies and Procedures
    • Lead quarterly reviews and annual audits conducted by third-party auditors
    • Develop and administer the internal accounting control system
    • Report directly to VP Finance and will work closely with senior leadership and with every functional team at Canvas Worldwide
    • Investigate and research accounting questions related to internal and external reporting issues to ensure that financial activity is recorded in a manner consistent with the Company’s policies and procedures and GAAP
    • Assist VP Finance to develop and implement internal controls
    • Work closely with third-party tax preparer to ensure all tax returns are filed in timely manner
    • Respond to ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and special assignments, as needed
    • Supervisory
    • Working with AP Manager and Finance Senior Manager to ensure that accounts, records and related documentation is maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate standards, and contract requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

    • 10+ years of Accounting experience
    • CPA, Bachelor's Degree
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Must be an analytical and critical thinker with the ability to dig deep into the details but present high-level findings to management
    • Excellent MS Excel skills and experience with ERP systems a must.
    • Detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
    • Ability to work within a team environment
    • Be proactive and self-motivator with the ability to learn quickly
    • Experience in advertising/ marketing industry is a plus
    • Experience with Microsoft (Business Central) is a plus
    • Experience in Marketing, Media and Advertising industries is a plus
    • Experience in US SOX is a plus

    • CPA a must

$85,000 - $105,000 a year
Yearly compensation range:  $85,000-$105,000



Salary and Benefits
Actual base salary is determined upon factors such as experience, qualifications, training, certifications, and internal equity. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Base salary is part of a total rewards package that includes highly competitive benefits like generous medical, dental, vision, pet insurance, commuter benefits, disability and life insurance coverage, 401(k) matching, up to 14 holidays per year, a “Do Good Day,” and unlimited PTO.
